Is CastApp free to use?

Yes, CastApp is free to download and use. However, some features like the Target Achieved leaderboard, exclusive giveaways, and specimen calculator are only available to members.

How much does membership cost?

Membership costs £2.99 per month, which gives you access to all premium features, monthly prize draws, exclusive challenges.

What is the Specimen Calculator?

The Specimen Calculator helps you work out how close your catch is to a specimen weight. Enter the target specimen weight and your catch weight, and it’ll calculate the percentage a great tool for club fishing and competitions.

Can I upload photos of my catches?

Yes! You can upload photos in two ways:

To the Log & Diary – for personal use, where your catches and photos stay private unless you choose to share them.

To the News Feed – as part of a public catch report where other anglers can see, comment, and engage with your post.

This gives you full control over what you share and what you keep for yourself.

What is the Target Achieved leaderboard?

This is a monthly leaderboard where anglers compete for the best shore and boat catches. Top scorers win prizes, and members can submit catches directly from their log.

What are the CastApp Challenges?

These are special, limited-time competitions or tasks (e.g. catch a certain species, best photo, etc.) that run throughout the year adding fun and variety to your fishing experience.

How does the News Feed work?

The News Feed is a social space for anglers. Share catch reports, ask questions, post photos, and connect with others. No distractions just fishing content.

Can I use CastApp to track my personal bests?

Yes! CastApp helps you keep track of your PBs (personal bests) through your Log & Diary. You can record weights, species, dates, and even upload photos of each catch. If you're a member, you can also send standout catches to the Target Achieved gallery for extra bragging rights.

Is CastApp just for sea anglers?

While CastApp is primarily built for sea anglers, many features like the log, diary, specimen calculator, and social feed are useful for all types of anglers.
